Artist's Description

This image was captured during a heavy winter snow storm thus giving it a textured appearance (note the left to right downward white streaks).
A must see when in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Because it's the oldest, still standing shrine in honor of our Lady of Guadalupe in the United State. The church was started in 1776 and served as a Catholic church till 1961. Everywhere you look in Santa Fe, she is there. She can be found on T-shirts, key chains, earrings, aprons, nightlights, posters, murals, tiles, pillows, magnets and more. She is the ubiquitous Lady of Guadalupe, an incontrovertible icon of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

About Britt Runyon

Britt Runyon

I am a New Mexico based Adventure Riding/Rafting/SCUBA Outdoor Digital Photographer, always on the qui vive for what Nature and humans provide. Capturing an image in my camera is but the first step in an artistic process. That initial bit of information then can pass through countless permutations before being declared complete. The journey from capture to completion is a lawless territory.
